As a child I had the basic Erector set which with which I could only make simple things like a wheelbarrow. The son of friends of ours had the set that could make the Coney Island Parachute Fall and an electric motor for huge cranes. For me his was the golden prize. Many, many years later while teaching at the Museum School I chanced to go down into a dank cellar. There on the floor, by itself, was the stuff of my dreams, the golden prize, a complete "professional set". In a nano second I had it in the truck. This find started me on a sequence of images based on set parts.
